Description	:	Irvin Denver Hill, born July 30, 1923 to the late Irvin and Berkie Hill of Foster, WV went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2009 at the age of 85. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Burton Hill and Albert Junior Hill; two sisters, Gaynell Dolin and Juanita Hill; three grandchildren, Veronica Lee Miller, Harry Lee Miller II and Christopher Lee Dotson. Read More	Irvin Denver Hill, born July 30, 1923 to the late Irvin and Berkie Hill of Foster, WV went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2009 at the age of 85. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Burton Hill and Albert Junior Hill; two sisters, Gaynell Dolin and Juanita Hill; three grandchildren, Veronica Lee Miller, Harry Lee Miller II and Christopher Lee Dotson. Denver was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Foster Church of Christ since 1947. He was an evangelist to many and baptized over 220, conducted many marriages and funerals and thru his life of walking with God touched many lives. He published a monthly gospel paper called "Know the Truth" for over 25 years. Denver also had a radio program called "Radio Bible Study" on WCAW. He was a WWII veteran, worked at Erie Ordinance, worked as a coal miner, Libby Owens Gas, Chemical Valley Lumber and owned his own grocery store before retiring from the business world. Denver never retired from serving the Lord by preaching the Gospel of Christ. He leaves to mourn his wife of 64 years, Margaret J. Hill; three daughters, Laverne and Harry Miller of Madison, Alvanna Hill Felty of Foster and Paula and Leslie Price of Foster; two granddaughters, Holla and Travis Fair and Chelsea Elaine Price both of Foster and one great-granddaughter, Lydia Dennel Fair also of Foster; brothers, Arthur Hill of Madison, Harley Hill of Foster, Hildree Hill of Drawdy and Norman Hill of Ridgeview; sisters, Twila Dolin of Foster and Yvonne Pauley of Foster; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Services will be 11 am Friday, June 12 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Wendell Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
