His first name is variously listed as Evan, Ervin, Ivan, Ivin and Irwin. His father Thomas, was born in Georgia. His first wife was Priscilla but he married his second wife Adaline ( Addie) Colson on March 14, 1895 at Alachua, Florida and it was she who filed for his Confederate Soldier's widows pension after he died. He died in Hillsborough County, Florida on September 9, 1928. Private Holder enlisted in Company f, 2nd Florida Calvary on August 1, 1862, was captured in Florida on August 1, 1864 and was paroled at Charleston, South Carolina on December 15, 1864.
