Somewhere about 1848 or 1849 he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Wiltse in Saginaw County, Michigan. Two sons and three daughters were born to this union. One son, Chauncy, died in childhood; the other four are with us today, and the mother died in February 1868. Read More	OBITUARY - BOGUE Lamoni Chronicle, Lamoni, IA, Thurs., 4/29/1920, page 1 Isaac Almon Bogue was born at Brunswick, Medina County, Ohio, on the 14th of December, 1821. Somewhere about 1848 or 1849 he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Wiltse in Saginaw County, Michigan. Two sons and three daughters were born to this union. One son, Chauncy, died in childhood; the other four are with us today, and the mother died in February 1868. In October 1883, he was married to Miss Emma Hemmingway, at Goodland, Leeper County, Michigan, who bore him one son and one daughter. He was a member of the old church, having been baptized on August 2, 1844, at VIenna, Genesee County, Michigan, by Lemuel Mallory. After the reorganization of the church he was ordained a seventy, serving in this office until his release in April 1900, spending time as a missionary. He loved to talk of the gospel and of his experiences in the church and, as long as his failing powers would allow, was ever ready to preach a fireside sermon to anyone who cared to listen. He passed to his reward in the early morning of April 23, 1920, leaving six children to mourn his departure: Mrs. Mary Roth, Joseph, and Emma Thomas of Lamoni; Mrs. Anna Rodger of Independence, Missouri; Isaac W., of Beresford, South Dak; and Mrs. May Gibson of Greeley, Colo. There are also sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren living. Researcher's Note: Isaac's burial marker is handmade and most likely created decades later, after 2nd wife Emma passed away. His name is misspelled on the marker and his year of death is incorrect. Although his inscribed year of birth differs from the obituary, the obituary is probably the one in error.
