Description	:	Boone County Democrat June 18, 1909 Isaac Marvin Allison, a well known and esteemed pioneer resident of the county, passed away at his home just west of the city, Monday morning, June 14th., after a short illness. The funeral services were held from the Free Methodist church on Clay street at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Kenton, burial in the Rose Cemetery. Read More	Boone County Democrat June 18, 1909 Isaac Marvin Allison, a well known and esteemed pioneer resident of the county, passed away at his home just west of the city, Monday morning, June 14th., after a short illness. The funeral services were held from the Free Methodist church on Clay street at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Kenton, burial in the Rose Cemetery. He was born in Illinois, May 8, 1837, making him seventy two years old at the time of his death. Fifty years ago he came to Iowa and to Boone county and settled on a farm in Des Moines township, and has made his home in the county ever since. He was married to Miss Mary Shaw and to them were born five children, of whom two daughters, Ella and Hattie survive. His first wife died and in 1869 he was married to Miss Phoebe Shaw and to them were born fourteen children, eleven of whom are living, Ollie at Oneida, South Dakota; Joseph at Vincent, Iowa; John of Boone; Thomas of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Mohler and Mrs. Nellie Bushore, of Boone, Charles of Kingsley, Iowa, and Henry and Albert at home. The widow and children have the sincere sympathy of many friends in their sorrow. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Banniber, of Cherokee, Iowa, and Mrs. Liza Payne of Canby, Minnesota.
