Description	:	#1237 Isaac Montrose Hitchcock, better known as “Mont,” walked into the hoe of his parents, Mr. an Mrs. Moses Hitchcock, 546 South Central Ave., after having been up the street, and complained of being sick. He asked his mother to prepare some medicine for him and while she was preparing the remedy, he called to her to hurry. The father realizing that the son’s illness was critical went to him, handed him the cup of medicine, but just as he was in the act of placing the cup to his lips he was stricken with death and passed away... He asked his mother to prepare some medicine for him and while she was preparing the remedy, he called to her to hurry. The father realizing that the son’s illness was critical went to him, handed him the cup of medicine, but just as he was in the act of placing the cup to his lips he was stricken with death and passed away in his father’s arms, not over three minutes from the time of entering the home. For several months, since last June, the deceased had been a victim of heart trouble, but even with this knowledge of his illness his death was so sudden and unexpected as to be a terrible shock to the family and friends. Mont had always lived at home with his parents and had he lived until the 27th of next February would have been 39 years old. He was born in Hardin County OH. For several years the deceased has been a car builder by profession, of late at the C. H. & D. shops, but had held good positions in that capacity at the Solar Refinery and the L.E. & W. shops. Funeral service will be held at the South Side Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Geo. Sims officiating. Interment will be made in Woodlawn Cemetery. The surviving members of the family are the parents, one brother W.W. Hitchcock, of St. Louis; three sisters, Mrs. Susie Lehman, of Holmes Avenue, this City,; Mrs. Jennie Ridenour, who recently joined her husband in Paragould AR, and who cannot be here for the funeral; and Mrs. Ed. Palmer, who with her husband is here from Britton MI. Lima Times Democrat 1/14/1907
