Kemp of Clarence; Edward at home; Ora of Shepard, Mont.; Everette, who died March 26, 1926, and Emery, who died in 1890. On November 4, 1922, he was married to Mrs. Rebecca Hawkins, who with the four children, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive him. He is also survived by three step-sons, Emmett. A. Hawkins, of St. Joseph; Fay W. Hawkins of Woodward, Okla.; Roy Hawkins, of Hamburg, la.; a stepdaughter and- daughter-in-law, Mrs. Edward Kemp; also by a sister, Mrs. Dora Crow, of Emporia, Kans; a half-sister, Mrs. Etta Windlknecht, and a brother, Winfred, of Cape Girardeau, and a nephew, Ira Kemp, of near Woodlawn. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, Jan. 1, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Wm. Rutherford. Interment in Maplewood cemetery. Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mrs. Effie Hampton of Geneva, Nebr.; Mrs. Dora Crow, Emporia, Kans.; Mrs. Susie Ricker, Macon; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hawkins and son, Billy, of Hamburg, Ia., and Emmett Hawkins of St. Joseph.
