Read More	Isaac was the son of Jacob Lyons and Lavina Marker. April 10, 1919 - Carroll Times - Isaac Newton Lyons was born Sept. 15, 1862, at Greenville, Ohio, Darke County, and died at Carroll, Ia., April 7, 1919. At the age of two years he suffered an attack of whooping-cough with other complications, the result of which left him in a critical condition for a year or more. Later asthma and bronchial trouble set in, from which he was a constant sufferer during the remainder of his life. He attended school at Greenville and Versailles, Ohio, and later in Greene County, Iowa, where he moved with his parents in 1880. In 1881 he came to Carroll County with his parents and made his home on the home farm south east of Carroll. Here his mother died in 1883, and his father in 1907. Owing to his illness he was seldom enabled to leave his home, but always took a lively interest in everything and every one about him. In spite of all his sufferings he was ever of an optimistic, good natured disposition, friendly to all, always greeting his friends with a smile and words of good cheer. During the month of November 1918 he was injured by a fall, at which time he spent several weeks at the hospital and from which he was left in a weakened condition. The last days of March he was taken with a cold which on last Sunday developed into pneumonia. He was taken immediately to St. Anthony's hospital where everything was done for him possible but owing to his weakened condition he did not long survive. He passed away at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 7th. He leaves to mourn his demise one brother, J.A. Lyons of Amarillo, Texas, his half-brothers and sister, with whom he has made his home since the death of his father, three nieces, and other relatives in Ohio, and at Jefferson, Iowa. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, services, being conducted by Rev. R. Burton Sheppard.
