He peacefully fell asleep on October 19, 1992, at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas, reaching the age of eighty-seven years. Death was caused by complications of old age. Dad grew up in the Hillsboro community. Read More	Obit from Messenger of Truth Issue 24, 1992: Isaac Wiebe was born to Isaak and Margaretta Penner Wiebe on December 20, 1904, at Hillsboro, Kansas. He peacefully fell asleep on October 19, 1992, at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas, reaching the age of eighty-seven years. Death was caused by complications of old age. Dad grew up in the Hillsboro community. At the age of eighteen years he repented of his sins, and upon the confession of his faith in Christ Jesus, and upon receiving the new birth, he was baptized by F. C. Fricke at the Alexanderfeld Congregation at Hillsboro, Kansas, on March 15, 1923. On July 24, 1932, he was united in marriage to Gladys Redger of Durham, Kansas. They lived in the Hillsboro community five years, then moved to a farm in the Tampa, Kansas, community. This union was blessed with six sons and three daughters. After thirty-two years of wedded life Mother was taken from his side by death on May 5, 1965. Facing life alone caused Dad to seek a life's companion in me, Helen Dirks. We were married on March 6, 1966, at Bonners Ferry, Idaho. We enjoyed twenty-six years of wedded life together. His occupation was farming and dairying. Dad had an outgoing personality which won him many friends. He especially rejoiced in the youth who were sincere in their Christian life and conduct. His faith in God and the Church was firm, believing the Church would endure until the end of time. In August of this year, Dad was admitted to the Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas, where he received tender care for two and one-half months until his passing. Left to cherish precious memories are: his loving companion, Helen, Tampa, Kansas; four sons: Ransom and wife Lillian; Kenneth and wife Sandra; and Clayton and wife Betty Rose, all of Durham, Kansas; and Richard and wife Charlotte, Tampa, Kansas; three daughters: Lillie and husband Firmin Giesbrecht, Murray, Kentucky; Lucille and husband Edward Mininger, Almena, Wisconsin; and Christina and husband Lester Friesen, Barron, Wisconsin; thirty-three grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his wife, Gladys; two sons, Lloyd and Johny; three daughters-in-law; his parents; and his brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held on October 21, 1992, at the Morning Star Mennonite Church, Durham, Kansas, with Ministers Bruce Dirks and Eldon Wenger officiating. Graveside services were held at the Logan Cemetery with Min. Claude Unruh in charge.
