Read More	THE FRONTIER MARCH 31, 1887 DORSEY DOINGS The third one of our friends and neighbors to be taken off so suddenly was Mr. Isaac Wagers, off his place, father of the Wagers boys, who live near Lambert, this county, who died Sunday evening, March 27, 1887, of a trouble growing out of a rupture he received about a year ago. He was in his 75th year and had been a strong, hearty man all his life. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lowrie, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B. F. Roberts, where he died, on Monday evening at 8 o'clock, the funeral procession leaving the next morning at 7 o'clock for Lambert, where the remains were interred. Mr. Wagers was taken sick last Thursday while coming to town with his son, S. M. and was obliged to stop at a farmhouse over night, arriving in town Friday morning. He was given all the attention and care possible, but nothing availed, and he was taken away on Sunday evening. Deceased was born in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, July 12, 1812, died March 27, 1887. He went from Pennsylvania to Trumbull County, Ohio, where he was married in the year 1837 to Sarah Oswald. From there, in 1856, he removed to Grant County, Wisconsin, where he lived until he came to Nebraska, four years ago this Spring. His wife died in Wisconsin some eight years ago. He leaves a large family of children, seven boys and three girls, who are all residents of Holt county except one, H. B. Wagers, of Ogden, Iowa.
