Description	:	Isaac Weaver, the oldest white resident of Canonsburg, died this morning at 2 o'clock at his residence in East Pike street, aged almost 92 years. He was born July 15,1814, in North Strabane township, about two miles from Canonsburg, and was the son of Thomas. H. and Mary White Weaver, early sutlers of this section. Thomas H. Weaver, father of the deceased, was a native of Lancaster county, Pa., but in early life came with his parents to North Strabane township. Born during the second war with Great Britain, and before Napoleon bad met his downfall at Waterloo, the life of Isaac Weaver had covered some of the most stirring times in history. Born during the second administration of James Madison, he had lived under twenty-three of the twenty-six presidents of the United States, and his long life had witnessed wonderful progress in the world's development. Besides being the oldest white resident of Canonsburg, Isaac Weaver was the oldest member of the Greenside Avenue United Presbyterian church, having been identified with that congregation practically ever since its organization. For forty- five years he had been a ruling elder in the congregation. For several years past he had lived a retired life and on account of the burden of his four-score years had not left his home. On his ninetieth birthday July 15, 1904 he made a trip to Washington, travelling over the trolley line. In early life Mr. Weaver was married to Jane, daughter of Paul Matthews, who died in August, 1885. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Weaver, three sons dying in In fancy. The children who survive are: James, Walkaloosa, Kan.; Anna, wife of Richard Johnson, North Strabane township; Mary, wife of John Buchanan, Cecil-township; Park, North Strabane township, and Jennie, Canonsburg. For a time in young manhood Mr. Weaver worked at the carpenter trade in Allegheny, but returning to the Canonsburg legion settled on a farm in North Strabane township, where he lived until thirteen years ago, when he removed to Canonsburg He was of a quiet and retiring disposition, and his character was above reproach.
