The services were in charge of Rev. O. C. Helleckson of Huxley. The many beautiful floral offerings were arranged by Mrs. Robert Munson and Mrs. Lester Nelson of Slater. A large number of gifts of money to the missions, the building fund of Fjeldberg church and other church activities were given by relatives and friends in memory of Mrs. Helland. Miss Margaret Fritz of Slater sang two solos, "Jesus Saviour Pilot Me", and "In the Garden". The pall bearers were Nels Ihle, N. O. Ihle, Andrew Maland, Ingval Estrem, Nels Sabo and Erick Ihle. Burial was made in the Fjeldberg cemetery. Belle Hulderson was born January 10th, 1876, on a farm southeast of Huxley and died at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines, August 4, 1945, at the age of 69 years, 6 months, and 25 days. Her parents were the late Anna and Ole Hulderson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church south of Huxley and grew to womanhood in that vicinity. Her marriage to Martin Helland took place March 25, 1897. To this union nine children were born, two sons and seven daughters. They made their home on a farm near Slater where they still reside. She was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Martin Helland, two sons, Mike Helland of Meservy; seven daughters, Mrs. Evaline Falls of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Olga Holland of Meservy, Mrs. Lillian Peterson of Richmond, California, Mrs. Ferne Stedronsky of Wagner, S. D., Mrs. Marguerite Bryant of Sheldahl, Mrs. Maxine Fatland of Rockwell, Iowa, and WAVE Thelma Helland, Storekeeper 1-c, Naval Air Station, Minneapolis, Minn., also one sister, Mrs. Martha Larson of Marshalltown and four brothers, Tom Hulderson of Portland, Oregon, Ole Hulderson of Maxwell, Pete Hulderson of Alleman and Hulder Hulderson of Ankeny.
