Read More	Death of Mrs. French It is our painful duty this week to record the death of Mrs. Arthur French, one of Lacombe's most highly respected ladies. Death came with awful suddenness on Sunday evening last, and being totally unexpected was a severe shock to her many relatives and friends. Mrs. French, who was a nurse by profession, was on a case last week, and on Saturday afternoon complained that she was not feeling well. After treatment, she expressed herself as feeling much better, and on Sunday afternoon was feeling much as usual. She was resting in bed about six o'clock on Sunday evening, and apparently sleeping peacefully, but a little later on her daughter visiting her room, it was found that she was dead. Heart disease was the cause of her death. Her husband and sons, who were out of town at the time, were immediately summoned to Lacombe, and arrangements have been made for the funeral, which will be held this afternoon. Deceased leaves a large family to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and kind mother, four boys and four girls. Three sons and two daughters are in Lacombe today; two daughters still live in the old home in Scotland, while her eldest son, Arthur, is with Britian's troops somewhere in France. She was in her fifty second year. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian Church and took a very active part in the work of the church organizations; she was a hard working member of the W.C.T.F. (?), and her services will be greatly missed. To her husband and other members of the family the sincere sympathy of their many Lacombe friends is extended.
