Description	:	Isabella Mae "Isabel" HASTINGS married Henry Arthur DIAL(DYAL/DYALL) in the Winter of 1729/30 in England. They had at least 8 children: - James L. Dial - Col. Hastings Dial, Sr. - Isaac Dial - Mary Dial - Isabella Dial - Albert Dial - John Dial - Martin Dial, Sr. - American Patriot, all his brothers were Tories Henry a British Army Captain was killed by Indians abt 1764 in an engagement that took place near the North Carolina-South Carolina border. Hastings Dial, Sr. - Isaac Dial - Mary Dial - Isabella Dial - Albert Dial - John Dial - Martin Dial, Sr. - American Patriot, all his brothers were Tories Henry a British Army Captain was killed by Indians abt 1764 in an engagement that took place near the North Carolina-South Carolina border. This was right after the French and Indian War. It is believed that he had come into North Carolina about 1753 during that part of the French and Indian War that was known as the Spanish Alarm. Most of the fighting between France and Britain in continental North America ended in 1760, while the fighting in Europe continued. The war in North America officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris on February 10, 1763 and war in the European theatre of the Seven Years' War was settled by the Treaty of Hubertusburg on February 15, 1763. After Henry's Death, Isabel and their oldest and youngest sons, Hastings and Martin DIAL and their unmarried daughter, Isabella DIAL, moved to Laurens District in the South Carolina colony, abt 1767, where all of them lived until death. Their other children, namely James, Isaac, and Mary DIAL remained in North Carolina. She was born 1709 in England, and died 1803 in Laurens, SC. buried in the Dial Family Cemetery on her son Martin Dial's land.
