Description	:	Isabelle Lorene Christopher, daughter of Henry Peter and Pauline (Strecker) Nuss, was born June 7, 1920 at Milberger, KS. She departed this life Sept. 12, 1974, at the Hoisington Hospital, at the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 5 days. Isabelle lived her early life in the Milberger community. She attended rural schools of that area and as a child was baptized and confirmed in the Imanuel Lutheran (or South Lutheran) Church in Milberger. Read More	Isabelle Lorene Christopher, daughter of Henry Peter and Pauline (Strecker) Nuss, was born June 7, 1920 at Milberger, KS. She departed this life Sept. 12, 1974, at the Hoisington Hospital, at the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 5 days. Isabelle lived her early life in the Milberger community. She attended rural schools of that area and as a child was baptized and confirmed in the Imanuel Lutheran (or South Lutheran) Church in Milberger. She made her home at the Nuss family farmstead and grew to womanhood on the family farm. On March 7, 1946, she was married to Patrick J. Christopher in Nebraska and most of their married life they lived in New York state. She worked for a short time in New Your but nearly all of her married life was occupied with the activities of a housewife and homemaker. In August of 1973 she returned to Kansas and made her home in Hoisington to be near her son and then in June of this year she moved to Russell to live and was proudly getting her home established at 107 Grant Street. After a fall in which she fractured her hip, she was confined to the hospital for corrective surgery and recuperation. During this time she developed congestive complications and pneumonia, which caused her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pauline Nuss, and one brother, Clarence. Survivors include her son, Gerald Nuss, of Hoisington, Kansas; one daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Rose Mary) Huie, of Geneva, NY; five brothers: Paul, of Fresno, CA; Albert, of Worland, WY; Roy, of Russell, KS; Melvin, of Lincoln, KS; and Harlan, of Hoisington, KS; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Schafer, of Russell, KS; Mrs. Josephine Dutt, of Bushton, KS; and Mrs. John (Doralene) Sanders of Lincoln, KS; 7 grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
