Mrs. Duty was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ellis of Montrose, her maiden name being Isabelle. She was born August 28, 1853. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, member and first president of the Women's Civic Club of Montrose, member and Past Worthy Matron of the Martha Chapter O.E.S., also a member of Chapter AB, P.E.O., of Bonaparte. Montrose had been her home for the past sixteen years. Besides her family she is survived by two sisters, Miss Mary O. Ellis of Montrose and Mrs. Jennie Shite of Minneapolis and one brother whose home is in Washington. The many friends in this county extend sincerest sympathy to Rev.
