She was born on December 24, 1917 to Charlie Hesicah Graham and Maggie Johnson Graham Hilburn. She was the oldest of ten children, and was raised by her aunt Hellon Orilla Graham. Read More	GALIVANTS FERRY - Isla Mae Graham Holden Shelley, 92, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on December 24, 1917 to Charlie Hesicah Graham and Maggie Johnson Graham Hilburn. She was the oldest of ten children, and was raised by her aunt Hellon Orilla Graham. Ms. Shelley was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Aynor Senior Citizens. She was a farmer for most of her life, but also worked at Aynor Mfg. Co. and retired from the Horry County School system. Ms. Shelley loved to read and enjoyed spending time visiting and talking with family and friends. She took great pride in reaching out to others and devoted her life to serving her family and community. Ms. Shelley enjoyed sharing the fruit of her labor with her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a Christian and served as a blessing to those around her. She was predeceased by two husbands, Lupert Holden and Spencer Shelley; her oldest son Autry Holden and a baby son; four brothers, Bass Graham, Sam Graham, Melton Hilburn, and Elson Hilburn; a special sister, Lorene Graham Ray; and a stepfather, Vollie Hilburn. Surviving are her two sons, Graham "Bo" Holden and his wife Lib, and Donald "Duck" Holden and friend Jurilee Williamson, and a daughter, Brenda H. Graham and her husband, Freddie, all of Aynor; a daughter-in-law Evelyn Holden of Galivants Ferry; brothers, Herman Hilburn and his wife, Betty, and Dennis Hilburn and his wife, Erva Lee all of Aynor; sisters, Ruth G. Cook of Mullins and Elma H. Graham of Johnsonville; three sisters-in-law Betty G. Hilburn and Geneva J. Hilburn both of Aynor, and Louise H. Gore and her husband, Eugene of North Myrtle Beach; a brother-in-law, Legrande Holden of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Chan and Kim Holden, Johnny and Terry Holden, Aaron Holden, Timmy and Teresa Holden all of Aynor, Tammy H. and Ronnie Eaves of Myrtle Beach, Christi Graham Martin of Aynor, Cheri G. and Mike Lewis of Little River, Craig and Gina Holden and Chris Holden of Cache, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Logan Holden, Lynn H. Turner, Brooke Holden, Ashley, Amber and Garrett Holden, Nicholas and his wife, Crystal and Justin Holden, Brooke Eaves, Luke Martin, Spencer and Ben Lewis; great-great-grandchildren Hannah, Holden, Christian and Hayden; and a special caregiver Crystal Graham. There are also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were dear to Ms. Shelley. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Home in Aynor.
