She was born June 8, 1906 in the Bucks Grove community west of Holton, to Tom and Kate (McKinsey) Bottom. She lived in Bancroft and elsewhere in northeast Kansas and in the Wetmore community for 32 years. She was baptized at the Christian Church in Circleville. She was born June 8, 1906 in the Bucks Grove community west of Holton, to Tom and Kate (McKinsey) Bottom. She lived in Bancroft and elsewhere in northeast Kansas and in the Wetmore community for 32 years. She was baptized at the Christian Church in Circleville. She was a member and past president of the auxiliary to Levick Barrett Post No. 283 of the American Legion and the Golden Age Club, both in Wetmore. She married Clarence A. Nott on June 21, 1923, in Soldier. He died February 12, 1971. A daughter, Betty Jeanne Christian, died in 1980. Another daughter, Flroence May Nott, died in 1981. Grandsons Kirk Nott, Wayne Nott and Shawn Coffman and a granddaughter, Tina Nissen, also died. Survivors include four sons, Claude Nott and Jay Nott, both in Wetmore, and Kenneth Nott and Tommie Nott, both in Holton; five daughters, Lois Nissen, Wetmore, Rose Honeyman, Topeka, Sandra Nott, Stockton, Calif., Karen Coffman, Milford, and Thelma Brown, Holton; two sisters, Maxine Helton and Velma Tolin, both in Holton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Wetmore Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Legion auxiliary in Wetmore or the Isla Nott Memorial Bench and sent in care of the funeral home.
