She was born July 11, 1948 in Austinville, VA, daughter of the late Edward James Austin and Pauline Dunford Austin. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Jean Tate. She was a member of the Full Gospel Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Nelson R. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Full Gospel Holiness Church, 2168 Floyd Pike, Hillsville, VA with the Reverend Robert Akers and Reverend Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Cox family.
