Description	:	Funeral Rites on Saturday for Mrs. Harry Smith; Burial in Dorsey Cemetery Funeral Services for Mrs. Harry Smith of Walnut [Nebraska], who died on Wednesday last week, were held Saturday at the Methodist Church in Verdigre [Nebraska]. In charge of the rites was Rev. Norman Riedesel, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Niobrara [Nebraska]. A choir composed of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cole, Mrs. Grant and Mrs. Lee Brady, Jr., all of Dorsey, sang hymns during the services. Mrs. Lee Brady, Sr. was the accompanist at the organ. Pallbearers were: Frank Soucek, Fred Soucek, George Soucek, Raymond Soucek, Earl Jenkinson, and John Jenkinson Obituary Iva Lucille Smith passed away after several months of serious illness at her home near Walnut, Wednesday evening last week at 9:15 p.m. at the age of 41 years, 6 months, and 25 days. She was born at Imogene, Iowa, July 21, 1902 and came to Nebraska with her parents when she was eight years old. She attended the Wayne State Normal [now Wayne State University in Wayne, Nebraska] She was united in marriage to Harry Smith on August 14, 1918 and to this union on child, Dale Clayton, was born, who with his father is left to mourn the passing of a kind and loving wife and mother. Dale enlisted in the navy in February, 1942. He last saw his mother in January, 1943 and he has been at sea since that time. Among other relatives who survive are her mother, Mrs. May Throckmorton; one sister, Mrs. Edna Nelson of Barnard, Mo; one brother, Albert [Throckmorton] of Ingleside, Calif. other relatives and a large host of friends.
