Description	:	Iva Mae Weaver Merica, 83, a resident of Strasburg, and formerly of Elkton and College Park, MD, passed away on Tuesday, August 25,2009, at the home of her daughter. She was born July 6, 1926, in Weaver Hollow, near Elkton, and was the daughter of the late Paul and Myrtle Florence Aleshire Weaver. Iva attended schools in Weavers Hollow and was a retired school cafeteria worker. Her husband, James Merica preceded her in death on December 19, 1991. A funeral service will be held 2;00 PM, Friday, August 28,2009, at the Chapel of Lindsey-Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah with Rev. Charles Turner officiating.
