Burials were in the Hardin Township Cemetery, south of Stratford, with the Hanson Funeral Home in charge of the services. Clifford Oliver Anderson, son of Oliver and Amanda Anderson was born January 13, 1913, on a farm near Stratford, and died February 5, 1955, on his farm near Stratford. He was baptized as an infant in the Swedish Bend Mission Church, and was later confirmed at the same church by Rev. F.O. Abraham. He received his schooling at the Manson County School. He had resided near Stratford all of his life but for a short time spent at McCallsburg, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Iva Marie Brown on September 15, 1954. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Amanda Anderson of Stratford; six stepchildren, Charles, Billie, Joyce, Tony, Tommy Jo, all of Stratford and Mrs. Russell West of Lehigh; two brothers, Vernon Anderson of Forest City, Ia., and Lloyd Anderson of Stratford; a sister, Mrs. Florence Bergman of Stratford and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Iva Marie Anderson, daughter of William and Grace Osborne, was born April 30, 1921 east of Dayton, Ia., and died February 5, 1955 at her home near Stratford. She recieved her schooling at the Lindberg school. Mrs. Anderson had resided in the Dayton and Stratford community most of her life. She was united in marriage to Clifford Oliver Anderson on September 15, 1954. She is survived by six children, Mrs. Russell West of Lehigh, Charles, Billie, Joyce, Tony, Tommy Jo, all of Stratford; her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Osborne of Stratford; five brothers, Luke Osborne of Spooner, Wis., Everett Osborne of Kenosha, Wis., Marvin Osborne of Kenosha, Wis., Allie Osborne of Spooner, Wis., and Willie Osborne of Dayton, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Long of Stratford and Mrs. Jesse Ober of Stratford; one half-sister, Mrs. Shirley Sundine of Stratford, and a step-sister, Marie Bass of Dayton; two step-brothers, Albert Kucher and Walter Kucher of Spooner, Wis., and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother. She received her schooling in the Linnburg school and had resided in the Dayton and Stratford communities most of her life. She was united in marriage to Clifford O. Anderson Sept. 15, 1954. She leaves to mourn her passing, six children: Mrs. Russell West of Lehigh, Charles, Billie, Joyce, Tony and Tommy Jo, all of Stratford; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. William Osborn of Stratford; five brothers, Luke Osborn and Allie Osborn of Spooner, Wis., Everett and Marvin Osborn of Kenosha, Wis., and Willie Osborn of Dayton, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Long and Mrs. Jesse Ober of Stratford; one half-sister, Mrs. Shirley Sundine of Stratford, and a step-sister, Marie Bass of Dayton; two step-brothers, Albert Kucher and Walter Kucher of Spooner, Wis., and a host of relatives and friends. Services for Mr. and Mrs. Anderson were held Monday afternoon, February 7, 1955, at 2 o'clock in Calvary Methodist church at Stratford with Rev. F.O. Abraham of Pilot Mound, the Rev. R. Johnson North of Dayton and the Rev. Otto S. Steele of Stratford officiating. Two vocal selections: "Under His Wing," and "Some Time We'll Understand," were sung by Mrs. Arthur Larson, accompanied by Mrs. Cleo Bell. Following the services, the burials were made in the Hardin Township cemetery. The pallbearers were: Robert Bergman, Howard Bergman, Lester Swanson, John Larson, Arvid Anderson and Floyd Larson. The Hanson funeral home was in charge of the burial services.
