Mrs. Miles was born in Florence County on September 5th, 1934. She was a daughter of the late Carl and Ila Parrott and was the widow of the late Legrand Randolph Miles. Mrs. Miles was a long-time member of Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Levi Straus of Charleston after twenty-three years on the job. Read More	LAKE CITY: Mrs. Iva Nell Parrott Miles, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 13th, 2012, in Carolinas Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Miles was born in Florence County on September 5th, 1934. She was a daughter of the late Carl and Ila Parrott and was the widow of the late Legrand Randolph Miles. Mrs. Miles was a long-time member of Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Levi Straus of Charleston after twenty-three years on the job. Mrs. Miles was a humble and kind woman with a beautiful soul. She will be remembered for her deep love of her family – especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Miles will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Miles' surviving family includes her son, Don Miles (Brenda), of Charleston; her two grandchildren, Dewayne Miles (Sylena), of Charleston, and Chad Miles (Susan), of Florence; her two great-grandchildren, Hailey Miles and Iva Taylor Miles, both of Florence; her four sisters, Lizzie Saules, Dianne Brown, Faye Matthews, and Martha Benton, all of Lake City; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Parrott, of Pamplico; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who loved her dearly. The family of Mrs. Miles will have calling hours from five until seven o'clock p.m., tonight, Saturday, December 15th, 2012, in the funeral home. Funeral services for Mrs. Miles will be held at four o'clock p.m., Sunday, December 16th, 2012, in the Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial and committal services will follow the funeral in the Strickland-Feagin Cemetery.
