Description	:	. "Ivan 'Bud' Lahner, son of Tom and Edith Lahner, was born at Hazleton, Aug. 31, 1895, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leo Veeser, at Green Bay Wis., Aug. 18, 1962. . Hazleton was his home until 1941 when they moved to Downers Grove, Ill., which has been their home since. He took sick suddenly and died while on a visit to his daughter's home. . The following brothers and sisters, Vernon and Vere Lahner of Downers Grove; Genevieve (Mrs. Lynn Silka) of Hazleton; Izelle (Mrs. Oscar Bergesen) of Oelwein; Zelma (Mrs. Ross Duggan [sic]) of Independence and Lorene (sic) (Mrs. Henry Davis) of Oelwein; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, also survive. . He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alvy. . Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at Hazleton Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. with Dr. L. W. Hauter of Oelwein in charge. Mrs. Erwin Goff served as the soloist and Mrs. Lillian Bash as organist. The following served as casket bearers: Lynn Silka, Jr., Robert Dugan, Howard Lenius,Vernon Lahner, Dale Lahner and John Sheehan. Burial was at Woodlawn, Oelwein."
