Description	:	Ivan E. Albright, 82, of Sterling, died Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, in Sterling. Visitation and viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Chaney-Walters Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Chaney-Walters with the Rev. Michael Paulson officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Aibright was born Dec. 18, 1913, to Ivy and Bertha (Farris) Albright in Lake, Mo. The family moved to Mapleton, Iowa, where he grew up and attended school. The family moved to Sterling in 1930. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Aibright was born Dec. 18, 1913, to Ivy and Bertha (Farris) Albright in Lake, Mo. The family moved to Mapleton, Iowa, where he grew up and attended school. The family moved to Sterling in 1930. He married Phyllis Pomeroy on Dec. 31, 1944 in St. Francis, Kan. The couple lived in Sterling, where he worked for the Great Western Sugar Co. from the early 1940s until his retirement in 1975. He was a lifetime member of the Teamsters Union and a member of the Sterling Elks Lodge No. 1336. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Albright is survived by a son, Harry and wife Barbara of Sterling; a daughter, Virginia Lawler and husband Mike of Garland, Texas; a special friend, Marge Dewayne of Sterling; and four grandchildren, Abe and Ben Aibright of Sterling, and Katie and Kelly Lawler of Garland. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis on Feb. 3, 1995. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory.
