Born the son of Walter and Alice Meyers King on May 11, 1916, in Marion, he married Edith Patterson on Aug. 29, 1948, in Washington, Iowa. Ike was a career heavy equipment operator for International Union of Operating Engineers. he retired in 1978. Before entering the Army during World War II, he worked on the Alaska-Canadian Highway. He was a member of American Legion Marion Post 298 and Operating Engineers Local 234. The Rev. Jay Miller will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Hospice of Camp Courageous. Husband of Edith G. King. Parents of Kathy and Tim King.
