Description	:	EVANSTON, Wyo. -- Ivan Edwin Booker, 100, died Friday (Feb. 10, 2006) in Evanston, Wyo. He was born July 7, 1905, to George W. and Myrtie J. (Smith) Booker at Edison. He graduated from Edison High School in 1923. He attended business school. On July 12, 1925, he married Thelma E. Carpenter in Edison. She preceded him in death on July 29, 1986. Read More	EVANSTON, Wyo. -- Ivan Edwin Booker, 100, died Friday (Feb. 10, 2006) in Evanston, Wyo. He was born July 7, 1905, to George W. and Myrtie J. (Smith) Booker at Edison. He graduated from Edison High School in 1923. He attended business school. On July 12, 1925, he married Thelma E. Carpenter in Edison. She preceded him in death on July 29, 1986. He married Jewell Easterling on Dec. 2, 1986, at Warm Beach, Wash. She preceded him in death in 2001. He owned a general store in Mascot, was the office manager at Corn State Serum Co. in Omaha, ministered for the Free Methodist Church and was the conference superintendent for Nebraska and South Dakota. He sold real estate in Walla Walla, Wash., before becoming a real estate negotiator. He also attended Stanford University in California in order to become a real estate appraiser. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in several communities, where he was a minister, conference superintendent, Columbia River conference treasurer and board of trustees chairman. He was a member of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Thelma E. and Jewell; and four brothers. Survivors include his son, Elon and wife, Eileen Booker of Evanston; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Edison Cemetery in Edison with Revs. Lana Dake and Ernest Chambers officiating. Interment will be at the Edison Cemetery. Notes of condolence can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com. There will be no visitation. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe is in charge of arrangements.
