Her death was due to heart trouble. She leaves one son and one daughter and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Wolfe Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p m, August 23, with the Rev Arthur Mortenson in charge. Burial was at Hopkins, Mo. Pall bearers were Ray Clark, Lee Clark, Fay Clark, Frances Wymore and Kenneth Wymore and Robert Fisher. [Note: She is buried in Willard cemetery, Polk Township, Taylor County, Iowa. It is located several miles north of Hopkins, Nodaway County, Missouri.] MRS. IZOA BIRCH DIES AT HOME HERE; BURIAL AT BEDFORD Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Wolfe’s Funeral Home for Mrs. Izora hamlin Birch, 76, who died Sunday night at her home in Villisca. The Rev. Arthur Mortenson will be in charge of the final rites and burial was made in the Willard Cemetery, south of Bedford. Pall bears will be R. Clark, Lee Clark, Fay Clark, Francis Wymore, Kenneth Wymore, and Robert Wymore. and the music will be furnished by Mrs. Cy Underwood, accompanied by Miss Helen Bunker. Izora Hamlin, daughter of James and Elizabeth Hamlin was born in Marshall County, Iowa, February 12, 1863. She was married to George Wilson Birch, November 14, 1877 and to this union were born seven children, Mrs. Hattie David, Villisca; Mrs. Iva Thornblade, Marshall Town; Mrs. Emma Stapleton, San Antonio, Texas; John Birch, at home; Mrs. Ethel Perry, Ackworth, Iowa; Robert Birch, Ely, Nevada; and Daniel, who died in infancy. Mrs. Birch’s husband died July 5, 1934. Surviving besides her children are one brother, George Hamlin of Albion Iowa; 29 children and 26 great grandchildren. She united with the United Brethren Church in early life. Having spent the greater part of her life in Marshall County, she moved to Taylor County 19 years ago, residing there until she moved to Villisca four months ago.
