Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Richard Wright and the Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Knoll Cemetery. He was a native of Randolph County and retired with Ramseur Interlock after 47 years. Surviving are wife, Eva P. Kennedy of the home; son, David Kennedy of Franklinville; daughter, Julia K.
