Description	:	OTTUMWA - Jack D. Mosher, 76, of 435 Crestview Ave., died at 1:40 pm Sept. 30, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Ottumwa to William Edward and Florence M. Benson Mosher. He married Shirley M. McElroy on March 17, 1955. He attended Ottumwa High School and then served in the U.S.Army from 1957-59. He was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Ottumwa to William Edward and Florence M. Benson Mosher. He married Shirley M. McElroy on March 17, 1955. He attended Ottumwa High School and then served in the U.S.Army from 1957-59. He worked for Cantex Industries and then as an electrician for Workman Electric, Celania Electric and Acme Electric, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the electrical union, IBEW Local 13. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, pitching horseshoes and fishing. He had been a member of BPO Elks Lodge No.347. Surviving are his wife; two brothers, William Edward Mosher Jr. and Robert Eugene Mosher, both of Ottumwa; and a sister, Betty Buffington of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Flossie Keoppel and Doris Hanna; and a brother, Richard Mosher. Funeral services will be 10 am Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 am today at the funeral home with the family present from 5-7 pm this evening. Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society, Ottumwa, Iowa.
