Mr. Griffin was born May 28, 1901, at Blewett, moving with his family to Canada when he was a young boy. Enlisting in the United States navy during World War I, when 16 years of age, Mr. Griffin was discharged at Bremerton, then moved to Seattle, and then came to Ellensburg in 1942. He is survived by his wife and four sons and three daughters. The sons are John and Darrell of Ellensburg, and Benny and Roger of Seattle. The daughters are Mrs. Fred Charles and Mrs. Bill Moss of Seattle and Miss Charry Griffin of Ellensburg. A half-sister, Mrs. L. P. Foss of Bremerton, and a half-brother Tracy King of Seklu and 13 grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Evenson's with Rev. E. A.
