Description	:	Jack L. Barnett, 66, of 300 N. First St. East, died at 10:25 p.m. May 14, 2009, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. He was born July 28, 1942, in Wapello County, Iowa to Roy and Addie Sample Barnett. He married Joyce Straube July 28, 1990. He had worked at Clow Mfg. in Oskaloosa and retired from Kinze Mfg. in Williamsburg. He was born July 28, 1942, in Wapello County, Iowa to Roy and Addie Sample Barnett. He married Joyce Straube July 28, 1990. He had worked at Clow Mfg. in Oskaloosa and retired from Kinze Mfg. in Williamsburg. He served on the Delta City Council and had been mayor of Delta; he served on the Delta Fire Board and was Fire Chief of the Delta Fire Department, was a social lifetime member of Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and a lifetime member of North American Hunting Club. Surviving are his wife, Joyce; six sons, Jeff (Tracy) Barnett of Ottumwa, Jerry (Veronica) Barnett of Delta, John (Leanne) Barnett of Oskaloosa, LeRoy Straube and Carroll Straube, both of Delta, Terry Straube of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Julie (Larry) Brown of Floris; 29 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank (Helen) Barnett of Blakesburg, Melvin (Dorothy) Barnett of Agency; and his beloved black Lab, Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Illeta Smith, Betty Glosser, Irene Slack and Barbara Reinhard. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with Rev. Vince Homan officiating. Published in the Ottumwa Daily Courier on 5/16/2009
