Description	:	Jack L.R. Cudaback, 88, of Kearney, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center. There will be no services and the body was cremated. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements. Jack was born July 19, 1929 in Kearney to Maurice and Lena (Johnston) Cudaback. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements. Jack was born July 19, 1929 in Kearney to Maurice and Lena (Johnston) Cudaback. He grew up in Riverdale and graduated from Riverdale High School in 1945. He then attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln and graduated with a B.A. Degree. He later received several Master Degree’s including Electrical Engineer. He also received his Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Michigan. He enlisted in the United States Air force and enrolled in Officer Candidate School and graduated as a Second Lieutenant. Jack spent 10 years in the Air Force and worked in the first space program called the x20 Dyna-Soar project. In 1951 he married Edith Koepke and to this union were born 3 children; Anita, Janell and Zane. Jack later moved to Ann Arbor Michigan and married Janice Halstead. They lived in Michigan until retiring to Riverdale. Jack loved teaching and taught in many areas. He had many interests including flying his own airplanes and had a great passion for learning. Music was a big part of his life and loved visiting with people. You knew when “Jack was in the room.” Surviving relatives include his sister, Jane Rumbeck of Amherst, NE; brothers, Jim Cudaback and Bob Cudaback and wife Karen both of Riverdale, NE; children, Anita Olson, Janell Pope, Zane Crockett and special friend Cindy Boehler of Alma, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ron Cudaback and sister-in-law Becky and brother-in-law Jerry Rumbeck
