Description	:	Jack Russell Krusen was born Jan. 27, 1937 to Marlowe B. "Mike" Krusen and Sophie M. Krusen in Ireton, Iowa. As a young boy, he moved with his parents to the Hornick community. He attended high school in Smithland. Jack married Jeanette Ilene McClatchey on Oct. 23, 1954 at St. John's United Methodist Church, Mapleton, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived in Mapleton from 1954 to 1962. Then they lived in Moville and he was a refrigeration man for Flavorland in Sioux City, Iowa. until 1967. They then returned to Mapleton in 1977. He... Read More	Jack Russell Krusen was born Jan. 27, 1937 to Marlowe B. "Mike" Krusen and Sophie M. Krusen in Ireton, Iowa. As a young boy, he moved with his parents to the Hornick community. He attended high school in Smithland. Jack married Jeanette Ilene McClatchey on Oct. 23, 1954 at St. John's United Methodist Church, Mapleton, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived in Mapleton from 1954 to 1962. Then they lived in Moville and he was a refrigeration man for Flavorland in Sioux City, Iowa. until 1967. They then returned to Mapleton in 1977. He mainly was in the well drilling business & worked for McClatchey & Son Drilling Co. for many years. He also was in the backhoe service and worked for Orkin Pest Control the last year of his life. Jack was a member of the National Guard in Mapleton and the Mapleton Sky Hawks. Survivrors include his wife, one daughter, three sons, his mother, Mrs. Sophie Krusen of Hornick; two sisters, Mary (Harvey) Vellinga of Marshalltown, Iowa and Mrs. Betty Newman, and four grandchildren.
