Description	:	ANDREWS - Jack Swails, 81, husband of Eula Peggy Crosby Swails, died Saturday morning, September 10, 2005 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of Andrews. Burial, directed by McKenzie Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel, will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Sunday evening, September 11, 2005, at the funeral home. Mr. Swails was born March 17, 1924 in Andrews; a son of Johnny Swails and Amanda Richardson Swails. He was raised from an infant by the late Lewis and Etta Connelly. He was a retired general mechanic with International Paper Mills of Georgetown. He was a member of the Sampit Hunting Club, a mason with Harper Masonic Club # 225, and attended the First Baptist Church of Andrews. He was a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife of Andrews are a daughter, Brenda S. Ray and her husband Tommy of Andrews; a brother, Rev. John Swails of Franklin Springs, GA; a sister, Ethel Smith of Murrells Inlet; a granddaughter, Jackie R. Lockliear and her husband Mark of Trio; two great-granddaughters, Brook Lockliear and Amber Lockliear. He had an extended family with love and affection for all; a daughter, Evelyn (Sissy) Wilson and her husband Carl of Leesville; a sister, Ernestine C. Glisson of Andrews; two brothers, David Connelly of Andrews, and Lawton Connelly of Indianapolis, Indiana; a granddaughter, Carol W. Freeman and her husband Tony of Lexington; a great-grandson, Marc Anthony Freeman. [The Post and Courier, Sept 11, 2005]
