Description	:	Jackie "Jack" Homer Lethcoe, 85 of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at his residence. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Pastor Catie Newman officiating. Burial will follow at Logan Park Cemetery. Jack was born on October 21, 1932 in Sioux City to Harry and Norma (Johnson) Lethcoe. He received his education in the Sioux City Public Schools. At a young age, Jack started working for Wonder Bread as a baker. He married Annette Martin on February 3, 1951 in Sioux City. Jack worked as a baker for 25 years, and was a member of the local Baker's Union. Following his retirement at the early age of 40, Jack drove a truck for 20 years. Following that career, he drove a bus for the Sioux City Schools for nearly 10 years. Jack enjoyed his memberships to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Vermillion, South Dakota, along with that of the Teamsters Union in Sioux City. He took up the art of wood carving later in life, making lamps and walking sticks, which he never sold, but gave away, out of diamond willow that he would collect by walking along the riverbanks near Vermillion. Jack was a great husband to Annette, and a wonderful father to their daughters. In his younger years, Jack enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jack is survived by his wife Annette; daughters Catherine Shove and her husband Dale, Debbie Henderson and her husband Lanny, Rose Feisel and her husband Michael, Nancy McMullen and her husband Steve, and Terri Bahmer, all of Sioux City; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Darlene Claude of Algona, Iowa, and Wanita Hummel of Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard and Forrest Lethcoe, and sister Roebina Gifford.
