Description	:	Jackie Ening was called to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2017. Jackie was born in Stickney South Dakota. Her mother died when she was 12 and her father took care of her and her three sisters and brother. At the age of 18 she left the family farm to venture to New York city on the train where she was employed as a secretary. She later moved to Sioux Falls to work as the Administrative Assistant to the manager of the Veterans Administration. There she met and married the love of her life Fred Ening in 1950.... Read More	Jackie Ening was called to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2017. Jackie was born in Stickney South Dakota. Her mother died when she was 12 and her father took care of her and her three sisters and brother. At the age of 18 she left the family farm to venture to New York city on the train where she was employed as a secretary. She later moved to Sioux Falls to work as the Administrative Assistant to the manager of the Veterans Administration. There she met and married the love of her life Fred Ening in 1950. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before his passing. They were the proud parents of three children Leslie Meyers, Minneapolis, MN, Fred Jr, Spearfish, SD and Lori Olijar, Jacksonville, Florida. She was also a much loved Grandma to her four grandchildren Matt, Katie, Austin and Arika and Great Grandma to Avery, Taylor and Owen. Although she was a stay at home mom she valued her bridge groups, dancing with her husband and serving in her church. She was active on the Altar Guild designing flower arrangements, making handmade wafers and creating 100s of banners of her own design for the church. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain. She felt she had a good life and that God had blessed her. The family would like to thank all who participated in the loving care of our mother. The family will be holding a private memorial service and burial on Thursday, December 28th. The family requests that memorials be directed to Dougherty Hospice in Sioux Falls, or to your local hospice organization. - Miller Funeral Home
