Description	:	Jackson Ronald Elkins passed away at age 89, peacefully in his sleep. He was the youngest of four siblings born to Rose (Vedo) and Leonard Clair Elkins, on February 28, 1932. Jack was born and raised in Colusa attending Colusa High and then Yuba College. He played football as a quarterback, where his winning team was inducted into the hall of fame. Jack leaves behind his wife, Judy Griffin; children, Dori Mecartea, Andrea Der Manouel, Marina Brady, and son, John Elkins; along with 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, who enjoyed Uncle Jack and... Jack leaves behind his wife, Judy Griffin; children, Dori Mecartea, Andrea Der Manouel, Marina Brady, and son, John Elkins; along with 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, who enjoyed Uncle Jack and the positive influence he had on them. Jack loved the Italian heritage of his family and held those traditions close to his heart. Jack served in the U.S. Army and was proud to be a part of our military. He was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing, he would be hard to find during dove season or trips to Wyoming hunting big game in Elk, it was truly his passion. Jack was a carpenter building for investments and worked at the elementary school in Colusa for many years, before making a long term career with Cal Trans. Daddy, Grandpa Jack and Uncle Jack.
