Miller, one of Licking County's best known and most highly respected men, died at his home in Mary Ann township, about ten miles northeast of Newark at an early hour Monday morning. The funeral was held on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, from the Rocky Fork Church. Mr. Miller was aged 71 years, and the cause of his death was senile exhaustion and debility, there seeming to be no organic disease. Mr. Miller had been married twice, and leaves four sons and one daughter by his first wife, and one son by his last wife. He was born and brought up in Mary Ann township, where he had lived all his life, and by his industy and frugality had amassed a handsome competency. He was a consistent member of the Disciple Church having joined it in 1870, and was greatly loved for his liberality, he having given $1,000 for the erection of the church at Rock Fork, to which he was devotedly attached. Mr. Miller was born and lived all of his life in Mary Ann township, and was one of it's most highly esteemed residents. He was an intelligent, honorable, upright man, a kind and loving husband and father, and a good citizen. His death will be sincerely deplored, not only by his immediate family, but by a large circle of acquaintances and friends who knew him and loved him.
