Description	:	Son of Maria Perry and Joseph Talkingron. Middle name from Civil War Pension Index. During the Civil War he served on the Union side in Company I of the 14th Illinois Infantry. For some time after the war, he made his home in Missouri. On August 9, 1866, he and Mary A. Campbell married. To them were born two sons and four daughters. At the time of his death, one son and three daughters were still living: Lulu M. Armstrong; Jennie M. Archer; Albert J. Talkington; and Mrs. Clara M. Campbell married. To them were born two sons and four daughters. At the time of his death, one son and three daughters were still living: Lulu M. Armstrong; Jennie M. Archer; Albert J. Talkington; and Mrs. Clara M. Huston, and there were also twenty-three grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. In about 1881 he went to Fillmore County, Nebraska, living on a farm near Geneva. In about 1910, he became a resident of Geneva. For the last 10 years of his life, he was in failing health. He was a member of the Free-will Baptist church. He died on the 18th or 19th of November, 1923. The funeral services were held in the United Brethren church at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev.
