He was survived by his wife of 55 years, Margie Cannon Lindler, sons Kenneth (Libby) Lindler and Aubrey (Lisa) Lindler; grandchildren, Kristina, Cody, Matthew and Jesse Lindler; sisters, Rebecca Lindler and Martha Lindler. Read More	Jacob Earl Lindler, 78, born May 23, 1935, in Little Mountain, SC, to Daniel Evans Lindler and Carrie Lucille Eargle Lindler, died Friday, February 21, 2014. He was survived by his wife of 55 years, Margie Cannon Lindler, sons Kenneth (Libby) Lindler and Aubrey (Lisa) Lindler; grandchildren, Kristina, Cody, Matthew and Jesse Lindler; sisters, Rebecca Lindler and Martha Lindler. Earl was self-employed for many years as a farmer. He was also employed with Cannon Construction Company and retired from Newberry County Public Works as a heavy machinery operator. He served in the SC National Guard. He was a life-long active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Chapin, where he served in many positions. Earl was graduated from Little Mountain High School. He was known for his abundant vegetable gardens and he loved sharing his gardens' bounty. His favorite pastime was fishing with his Friday morning fishing buddies, brothers-in-law, Wayne and Tommy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Haskell and the Rev. John Lindler; sister, Mary Wilson. Funeral services: 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 26, 2013, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Chapin, SC. Interment: St. Peter Lutheran Church cemetery.
