Mr. Sensel died Friday night in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car as he was crossing Main Street, in Hancock last Tuesday night. Rev. Mr. Sensel died Friday night in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car as he was crossing Main Street, in Hancock last Tuesday night. Rev. Charles B. Monmonier, pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Authorities said Mr. Sensel suffered a fractured skull and internal injuries when he was struck by a car operated, according to Hancock Police Officer Howard Murfin, by Walter Renner, 53, Hagerstown, a car inspector for the Western Maryland Railroad. Officer Murfin said Renner was driving toward Hagerstown enroute home from a deer hunting trip when the accident occurred. No charges have been placed against Renner pending action of State's Attorney Martin L. Ingram. A native and life resident of Hancock, Mr. Sensel was a son of the late Henry and Ellen Sensel. Prior to retirement he was employed in a Hancock machine shop. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. His wife, Mrs. Rose Isora (Shives) Sensel, died a number of years ago. Surviving children are Mrs. Ben Yonker, Charles A. and James Elmer Sensel, all of Hancock, and Henry Sensel, Hagerstown; a brother, Charles M. Sensel, Hancock; three sisters, Mrs. Madeline Barnhart, Hancock; Mrs. Bertha Small and Miss Mary Sensel, both of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
