Greider, aged 72, well-known in this community, died at 6 o’clock Saturday morning (EST) at his home near Elida, Ohio. Mr. Greider had been ailing for about five months. Greider, aged 72, well-known in this community, died at 6 o’clock Saturday morning (EST) at his home near Elida, Ohio. Mr. Greider had been ailing for about five months. He suffered a stroke of paralysis some time ago and complications developed, finally causing his death. Mr. Greider was the husband of the late Mary Augsburger, a sister to Moses and J. C. Augsburger of west of town. He visited in this community on numerous occasions. Mr. Greider was a farmer and was born in Green County, O., August 3, 1866, a son of John and Anna Erb Greider. He spent most of his life in the vicinity of Elida. He was married to Mary L. Augsburger on December 25, 1894, the wedding taking place at the Rev. C. Augsburger home in French Township, Adams County. She proceeded in death Feb. 21, 1936. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Diller who resides at the Greider home near Elida and Mrs. Salena Heading of near Elida. Two foster children survive, Clarence Augsburger of Delphos, O. (cut off). They are Mrs. Susan Stauffer of Dayton, O.; Mrs. Mary Clair of Medway, O., Mrs. W. S. Riley of Elida, O., and Ben Greider of Medway, O. One son, Clarence Greider, four brothers, one sister and two grandchildren preceded, also the wife and the parents. Mr. Greider was a member of the American Mennonite Church near Elida. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock (EST) at the church, the Rev. B. B. King officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Several relatives from this community attended the rites.
