Description	:	Jacob Getz passed away at his home just west of Francesville, Saturday morning, February 19th, at about 3:45 o:clock. The cause of his death was heart trouble and complications, from which he had suffered for the past six months. He was 70 years of age. He was born at Tremont, Illinois, April 14, 1867, a son of Lewis and Barbara Getz. On October 19, 1890, he was married to Miss Nathalie Reeb, at Cissna Park, Illinois. He was born at Tremont, Illinois, April 14, 1867, a son of Lewis and Barbara Getz. On October 19, 1890, he was married to Miss Nathalie Reeb, at Cissna Park, Illinois. In the year 1911 the Getz family moved to this community, where they have since resided. Mr. Getz was a member of the Apostolic Christian church, with which he was united at the age of fourteen years. Besides his widow, he leaves nine children; Mrs. J. B. Gudeman and John Getz of Medaryville; Mrs. Herman Erb, Mrs. Albert Gudeman Jr., Octavius and Alvin of Francesville, and Arthur and Benjamin at home; two brothers, Peter L., and Benjamin Getz of Tremont, Illinois; four sisters--Mrs. Fred Moser, Mrs. William Sauder, Mrs. Benjamin Pfledderer and Miss Lena Getz all of Tremont, Illinois; also thirty grandchildren, besides many other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Apostolic Christian church Monday morning, February 21, with Rev. Otto Norr of Leo, Indiana, and Rev. George Gramm of Gridley, Illinois, in charge.
