Jacob was born in Walter Russia, Dec. 10, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Giesick, and came to the United States in 1896.

He married Anna Margaret Benner in Russia January 19th, 1896, just previous to coming to the states.

The family settled in Lincoln, Neb., in 1902, then to Park City, MT, in 1917, where he lived until his retirement, moving to Laurel in 1952.
