Description	:	Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, April 29, at the St. Francis church in Ashton for Jacob Maciejewski. Rev. John Czajka of Loup City officiated in the absence of Rev. Aloysius Jarzemski. Jacob Maciejewski died at his home Saturday, April 26 after an illness of about five months following a paralytic stroke. At the time of his death he was 80 years old. Aloysius Jarzemski. Jacob Maciejewski died at his home Saturday, April 26 after an illness of about five months following a paralytic stroke. At the time of his death he was 80 years old. He was born in Poland, July 1, 1860 to Steve and Mary Maciejewski and came to America with his parents at the age of 13. They settled in West Virginia and resided there for seven years. In 1880 they came to Nebraska and settled on a farm south of Ashton. He was united in marriage to Barbara Galczenski on July 6, 1885 in Posen and they resided on a farm until sixteen years ago when they retired and moved into town. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, five daughters: Mrs. Stella Dymek, Mrs. Joe Peters, Mrs. Ted Jakubowski, Mrs. Walter Jakubowski and Mrs. Barbara Deminski; one brother, Frank Maciejewski of Loup City; Twenty-four grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. One daughter, Mary Jakubowski, preceeded him in death twenty-one years ago. The pallbearers were: Edwin, Harry and Albert Dymek, Joe Peter, Jr., Richard Jakubowski and Michael Deminski.
