Description	:	Armour Rites Conducted For Nonagenarian Funeral rites for J. M. Van Der Werff, 93, were held at the Grand View Reformed Church at Armour Sept. 30. The Rev. James Brinkhuis officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Clements Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Van Der Werff was born in Marion County, Ia., Dec. 23, 1869 and died Sept. 26 at the Douglas County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for three years. Mr. Van Der Werff was born in Marion County, Ia., Dec. 23, 1869 and died Sept. 26 at the Douglas County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for three years. He had lived in Douglas County since 1908, and before retirement was a farmer. He was married to Jennie Droppers in 1896. She preceeded him in death as did also three sons and two daughters. Survivors are one son, Bert of Armour, one daughter, Mrs. Laurence Bennink of Herndon, Ia., one brother, Herman of Sioux Falls, 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
