Description	:	March 13, 1930 Funeral Record: Jacob Felger: Funeral services for Jacob Felger were held at the residence 310 South Sixth Street at 2 o'clock Wednesday and at Christ Lutheran Church at 2:30, th Ref. M. E. Mayer officiating. Interment was made in the new Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were: William Filter, August Klentz, William Brummond, Julius Fisher, Mr. Riggert and George Roman. Jacob Felger was born in Messinger, Wuertemberg, Germany, December 23, 1857. Here he was also confirmed. In 1880 he came to Albany, NY and later on for a time he farmed in southern Wisconsin. About twenty-seven years ago, in March he moved to Norfolk, where he made his home on the farm east of Norfolk, which is now owned by his oldest son, John. In his later years he retired to the city of Norfolk. He was married the first time in 1882 to Miss Sophia Kempke. Six children were born to them of whom four, three sons and a daughter are still living. The wife died Feb 14, 1915. Mr. Felger married a second time May 12, 1923. His bride was Mrs. Rosa Freythayler. Since November of last year Mr. Felger had been in ill health, and he finally submitted to an operation which revealed that he was suffering with cancer of the liver. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Rosa Felger, three sons: John Frank, and Arthur: One daughter, Edna and six grandchildren. All these are of Norfolk. There is also a sister Mrs. Christina Gray of Warren, Illinois.
