PASSES AWAY SUNDAY Native of Austria Lives to Ripe Age of Four Score and Three in America Mr. Jacob Gollobit, Sr., who lived with his son Peter on the home place three miles north of Charlotte, passed away Sunday afternoon last, death being caused by dropsy, from which he had been suffering and been veryill for the past six weeks. Previous to his last and fatal illness Mr. Gollobit had never had aserious illness, and had been healthy and robust all his life. PASSES AWAY SUNDAY Native of Austria Lives to Ripe Age of Four Score and Three in America Mr. Jacob Gollobit, Sr., who lived with his son Peter on the home place three miles north of Charlotte, passed away Sunday afternoon last, death being caused by dropsy, from which he had been suffering and been veryill for the past six weeks. Previous to his last and fatal illness Mr. Gollobit had never had aserious illness, and had been healthy and robust all his life. He was born in Austria in 1830 and came to America in 1860, coming directto this section and settling on the farm where he spent the rest of his life and died near Charlotte. In 1871 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Adams at Sugar Creek to which union seven children were born, all, with the exception of one girl, Mary, surviving their father, mother having preceeded him in deathone year ago. Those who survive are Jacob E. of near Preston, John, Matt and Helen of Willard, Colorado, Peter and Joe of Charlotte. All of the children were in attendance at the funeral which was held this morning from the St. Joseph Catholic church at Sugar Creek, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Tragheser, with interment in Sugar Creek cemetery. Source: Local Newspaper, Jackson County.
