He was there in 1935. Note: New Bethel Cong & Hope Cong church records His father's obit: WEIL, FRIEDRICH "DER KIRCHENBOTT" 18 AUG. 1938 Friedrich Weil was born 16 Feb. 1860 in Schontal, S. Russia. In 1892 he came to America with his family making their home near Java, SD where they lived until 1907 then moved to North Dakota and established a home south of Beulah. He remained here the rest of his life. He was united in marriage with Philippina Schmidt in 1878. This union was blessed with 11 children of which one preceded the father in death. By God's grace and mercy Father Weil was called to his rest 10 Aug. 1938 at the age of 78 years 5 months and 27 days. Old age was the cause of his death. He leaves to mourn his bereaved wife, 4 sons, 7 daughters, 76 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. The Emmaus Church of which Father Weil was a founder and member had closed its doors years ago, so he was not a member of any church at the time of his death. The service was held in Hebron where some of his children were members and conducted by Pastor Roemmich. Hebron, [Morton Co.] ND C.
