He died suddenly at his home in Linton shortly after 11 am. On the morning of his death, Mr. Wolfer had complained of a slight feeling of dizziness but had continued to work about the yard. At about 10 am his son, Theodore, came in with a load of lumber which they hoped to construct a coal bin. When heard about his father's slight illness, Theodore began to unload the lumber. Glancing around he noticed that his father had fallen to the ground. He revived somewhat and was taken into the house and placed on the bed. He died shortly thereafter. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 08, from the Peace Lutheran Church in Linton, North Dakota. Reverend George Landgrebe will officiate. The Kremer Funeral Home of Linton is in charge of arrangements, with burial in the Linton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be W A Schmierer, David Job, Henry Nathan, Jacob Heyne, Jacob Faerderer, and Dave Akermann. Jacob Wolfer was born August 26, 1886, in Gnadenfeld, South Russia, and grew to manhood in Gueldendorf. He was the son of George Wolfer and Regina Gaisler. He came to America and married Rosina Werner February 10, 1910, near Eureka, South Dakota. That same year the couple settled in Cole, South Dakota. In 1911 they came to Emmons County and settled near Linton, North Dakota. Later they moved to a farm east of Linton and lived there until they retired in 1943 and moved back Linton. Besides his widow, he leaves two sons, Edmund and Theodore, both of Linton; six daughters, Alvina Kundert of Temvik, Mathilda of Gardner, Rosa of Yakima, Washington, Paulina Young of Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. Otillie Mino of San Francisco, California, and Edna at Home. Also surviving are a brother Fred of Jamestown and 17 grandchildren.
